AAF announces all-new Facebook and Twitter pages
Dear AAF Members, I am happy to announce the creation of all-new Facebook® and Twitter® pages in addition to a RSS (Really Simply Syndication) feed as part of the American Advertising Federation's online media initiative. These new online tools are just a few examples of the initiative that kicked off with "From the Source: AAF's Web Seminar Series" in September 2008. The new pages and RSS feed represent the AAF's commitment to provide more services to its membership by building and managing an online community for advertising professionals. The AAF's Facebook and Twitter pages will help keep you connected with the organization through discussion boards, news feeds, photo galleries of events and video clips. Additionally, AAF events will have their own pages with more information as well as the ability for attendees to upload their own photos from the event.
The RSS news feed will enable you to get the most up-to-date AAF information in your daily blog readers without the need to check e-mail or the AAF Web site. RSS feed news stories can also be displayed on any AAF club Web page through customizable widgets available through the AAF. For more information on this, contact Josh Guterman at jguterman@aaf.org.
I encourage all AAF members to check out the new Facebook and Twitter pages and subscribe to the RSS feed. Those who are already on Facebook can participate in the new online discussion group.
Sincerely,
James Edmund Datri
